    Can't get the lighting right

I've built a table for doing jigsaw puzzles and it works out great, good height for standing and for sitting. But I just can't get the lighting right. Fluorescent and incandescent mostly overhead glare off the shiny pieces and makes it hard to see colors. Daylight is not an option. Suggestions?

Hi, Usually to eliminate glare you would need the light at a lower position relative to the face of the pieces. A photographer would call this a high incident angle whereas a light directly overhead would be a low or even zero incident angle and would give you the most reflection.
I'm thinking a desk lamp on the table as your primary lighting might do the trick, and hopefully you have a place to plug it in. One of those dimmable LED jobs that lets you angle the head any way you wish would be sweet. I hope this helps.

We found sometime if you aim the light at the ceiling it works better. Also try a different color range of light.
