    planer knife sharpening

    Happy New Year All,
    I'm sure this has been responded to before. I need some planer and joiner knives sharpened.
    I would like to have your recommendations. I'm in Montgomery County, Pa, just 15 miles north of Philadelphia.
    It wouldn't matter if it's a local shop or if I needed ship them, I just want a good job.

    I searched saw blade sharpening Montgomery pa and there is http://www.gmbandsaw.com/ Call them and see if they do planer lives. I’m sure if they don’t they will know who does. They also sell band saw blades which is handy to have.

    I have taken saw blades to Hermance Machine in Williamsport to be sharpened. I believe they send them out, but not sure where. I was told they will sharpen anything.

    Do it yourself. Not hard. Make a jig. Lot of youtube videos on it.
