Found two pictures of a toy I made for my nehpew 4 years ago.

My nephew was and still is crazy about trucks so I decided to make him something unique. I took me about 100 hours to make if memory serves me correctly because there was a lot of very fine carving involved. The total length with the trailer is a little over 1 metre. My nephew is 12 now and he guards it like a Lion guards its kill It sits on top of the book case in his bedroom and no one is allowed to touch it. Expect me of course

That's really neat! I'm glad he still values it so highly. If he takes good care of it, he might give it to his own child one day (though by then, we may not use diesel trucks).

Those coiled cables are a nice touch!

I can see why your nephew guards it like a lion. WOW! You did the turning wheels on the tractor with one hub, the driving wheels with another. Nice touch! Maybe the coolest feature is the lifting cab with the motor underneath.

I decided that if I'm going to make it I'm going all in. It was worth it though just to see the look on my nehpew's face when I gave it to him.
