I have owned the SawStop Professional Cabinet Saw for several years and am contemplating adding above table dust collection. The two options I am considering are 1) Shark Guard and 2) SawStop Over Arm. Any comments on the best way to go?

Are you referring to the floating guard or the one that attaches to the riving knife? I have the latter & have it connected to an overhead duct with 2.5" flex. I don't like the over arm tubing setup that SS sells. Suction is quite restricted & the tubing would be in the way of a router table at that end of the extension. As I have mine set up, it works very well.
I've not heard great things about the floating guard/collector.
Here is the link to the SawStop Overarm Dust Collection that I am considering; https://www.sawstop.com/table-saws/b...ust-collection.
If all you have for dust collection is a shop vac, the SS version might be appropriate. Otherwise you are best to go with a SharkGuard where you can get up to a 4" collection hose setup (I have the 3" version). My opinion as I do not own a SS.
NOW you tell me...
