    Steel City TS Cursor replacement

The cursor for my steel city is broken and needs to be replaced. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions of what would potentially replace it or what others have done to replace broken cursors? thanks in advance

Eric if you post a picture of the cursor it would help people here to help you.

I think what Mike is getting at is "what's a cursor?"

It is the clear "window" with the line that you look thru to see the scale to set the width for ripping on your saw.Need to see what that one looks like, they come in different sizes and shapes.

I have made my own with plastic, scribed with a razor knife and then filled with a fine-point felt pen. A picture of your fence could lead others to recommend a source.

    I've done the same thing.

Try checking with Sears Parts. Sears sold many Table Saws made by Orion (same company as Steel City). The Sears Zipcode saws are very similar to the Steel City saws

A picture might help. If the fence is a Biesmeyer clone then a Bies cursor might work. I have a Shop Fox and never did like the magnifying cursor. Went to EReplacementparts.com and got a Biesmeyer cursor for a couple of bucks, worked fine.

If you go to the Grizzly site and look for the Shop Fox Classic Fence and then look at the parts diagram you'll find the cursor for $2.00.

I'm actually eyeing this one up now I like that this one isn't the magnifying one. Looks like this might work as well. Thanks Dave
