At this point I am doing enough production work of weathered pieces to justify a machine. I am looking at the 19-38 combo machine (strictly for the metal wire wheel abilities) but have reservations that I hope a member's experience can help with. Speaking to the supermax rep, he strongly suggested the 13" combo machine, which has the big fat wire drum and is not open-ended. My biggest questions:

1. overall what kind of results are you having

2. ***how long is a wire wheel drum lasting you? the price for a replacement is very high. I would expect several thousnads of feet to go through this before needing to replace, especially given that I primarily use fir/pine/poplar

Any input is greatly appreciated,

Dustin
