    Shenhui Laser Issue

    Hi Guys;
I have a Shenhui 1580 Dual head laser which uses the RDL 320-A controler and RDcam 5.0
The other morning when I turned it on I got a "communication error"on the RDcam program on the computer. Usually I can just unplug the USB cord from the computer and plug it back in and the problem goes away. Not this time-constant comm error and cannot get vendor settings to "read" machine params.
I noticed that the RDC 320A controller module had red lights shining thru the plastic housing in the upper left and lower right and left corners. The lower left one was blinking.

I tried new USB port-no change
I tried new USB cable- no change
I tried new computer with RDCam 5.0-cannot connect to laser
I changed to new controller board- same results and red lights are on new controller as in video I sent.

Strange- usually if computer does not see laser it will not open RDCam,
but RDcam starts fine with old computer-new controller module, but then shows "communication error" when
trying to send file or access vendor settings

I disconnected all cables from the controller except the 24 VDC
RDCam shows "no device connected" and red lights are seen on bottom right and left
    on module as before.

Does anyone out there have any idea of what the problem is?
I would really appreciate any help- thanks
    Best regards

On my Triumph, one day I started getting iffy connections.

On the laser, outside, are the USB plugs. Inside the cabinet, I found a short USB cable that connects the outside plug to the controller. I unplugged the short cable from the controller, and plugged my computer's USB cable in its place directly to the controller.

    Been fine ever since
