    Cherry, Burl and Walnut Headboard

    This was my attempt at upgrading my headboard.

    Cherry Headboard with Oak Burl Panels and Walnut Inlays. It's bolted to the rails and cleated on the wall. The finish is Shellac:

    Todd, the Oak burl is eye catching....good job!

    Todd, I like the mantle-style top and the stopped cove detail on the edges. That had to have been a bit of a challenge to execute. There's a lot of wood there. The burl is a very nice feature. ..Very attractive. That's a headboard to be proud of.

    Thanks for the compliments.

    I was thinking that the design might generate some wood movement comments. All joints are tongue and groove and the panels are 1/4 ply pinned and glued.
