    TAW Symposium, January, Nashville TN

If you live in Tennessee or surrounding states the TAW Symposium in Nashville might be worth attending. I've been there a number of times and plan on going again this year. It's a excellent event, comfortable demo rooms in the Marriott convention center, and plenty of vendors if short on wood or tools.

The TAW has one of the best means I've seen of getting good video of the turnings to the big screens. And I've met a bunch of great Creekers there!

The dates are January 25th and 26th.

Demonstrators this year are Ashley Harwood, Todd Hoyer, Al Stirt, and Jacques Vesery

    Location:
Marriott Hotel and Convention Center Franklin, TN
    700 Cool Springs Blvd
    Franklin, TN 37067

For early registration ($165 for two days):

There are plenty of hotels/motels just a few miles from the convention center, some quite reasonable. (I should know, I'm cheap)

(No disclosure, I have no dog in this race. Just enjoy going!)

    Anyone else plan on going?

I'll be there, only 3 miles from my house. I will be manning the registration desk on Saturday, and I'd love to meet as many Creekers as possible. Come on down y'all. Come to Nashville early and stay late - a great city with lots to do, even music!!

This will be my third year of attending the TAW event. Always a great well planned and executed event.

Al Stirt replaced by Jason Clark

Yes Al Stirt was forced to cancel his apperance at the 31st anual TAW simposium in Nashville. Jason Clark will be taking his place. Jason is an accomplished and highly acclaimed turner. I was privileged to attend one of his hands on demonstrations this past summer and I can tell you from personal experience that he is amazing to watch. I don't know what he will be making, but it will be time well spent watching him turn. He is an energetic demonstrator. I'm sure that you will be pleased with his skilled demonstrations.

for those who don’t know Jason Clark, he is past president of the Arizona Woodturners and after moving to the Chicago area , he is presently the president of the Windy City Woodturners. He is a two time presenter at the AAW national symposium.

Bill, just look for the old guy needing a haircut and carrying around a black backpack with wooden things sticking out of it.

Ok, I'll also be grinning and acting like a kid in the candy shop. That should cut it down to 50%
