If not, I suspect that a nice Kusmi Shellac or an oil finish will leave the cabinet a handsome golden tint.

I haven't run into any issue with the magnets. They seem to hold quite solidly and I haven't seen any magnetization of the steel.

On the left hand door those look like socket chisels— Stanley or Lie-Nielsen. Any trouble with the handles coming off?

Hi Tony, LN told me they recommend hairspray......I picked up one those little travel ones; works great (cover most of the handle, and give it a spray).
