    This has inspired me to make a kerfing plane. Just so happens I was wandering around an antique store on Friday and came across a stair saw for cheap. Seems I could lengthen the bolts and add a fence with spacers for different widths. I’ll let you know how it goes.

    If you want to use a tablesaw, you can get 7" circular saw blades at a big box store for very little cash. They will cut up to about a two inch deep kerf and 1/16" wide. I start my resaws this way quite often.
