    Fireplace Surround/Entertainment Center

    Odd Lots Store provided the idea....Gathered a supply of Ash, and Pine. Mainly hand tool built...some power tools were needed.

    Frame & Panel doors. Pine for the parts that won't show...

    Hand planes to make the raised panels. Stands 41" tall, top is 16" wide, by 57" long.

    Finish is "Weathered Oak stain, Amber Shellac, Clear gloss Poly.

    Front corners have been cut, hate hitting sharp corners walking past these things.

    Nice design. I used to have the same B&D sabre saw. The blade locking screw stripped out on mine. Be careful how much torque you put on the locking screw. I like your saw till.

    Wow ! Hand cut raised panels. I wouldn't even attempt that but, then again, I'm a wimp. Good job. Well done.
