    Oneida Mini Gorilla NEMA 5-20R

Assembled my Oneida Mini Gorilla dust collector & noticed the plug requires a NEMA 5-20R receptacle. I do not have those in my basement but have 15 & 20 amp circuits. There are converters that simply plug in or should I install a new NEMA 5-20 R receptacle?

Put a 20a outlet on a 20a circuit. They have converters? They shouldn't; it kinda ruins the whole idea.

probably cheaper to cut the plug off and install one that fits your existing 20 amp outlets.

There is nothing magic about that plug there are other 20 amp plug designs. Is this 120 or 240 or both?

If your shop is in the basement and you have 20 amp circuits, I would start installing 20 amp outlets for future tools. Cheap and easy.

This is the 120 Volt Mini Gorilla. They also sell a 240 Volt.
