    I have the LN chisel plane. I'd say I use it at some point on almost every project. Besides all the other things it's good for, it's also great for taking off dried glue you missed earlier.

    My Stanley shoulder planes can be set up like a chisel plane, trim plane, edge plane or what ever one wants to call it.

    To me it is not worth the effort since a chisel is usually closer at hand and easier to set up.

    A tool that I would not spend my money on. I have a Stanley 94 which can be used as a chisel plane. I have always found that a simple chisel excels. I have crank neck chisels, they are not every day tools.
