Installing the Dust Cobra in a Small Shop

The unit is installed outside the shop and ducted in with 3" PVC. Also a couple of connections to other parts of the basement. The hose is easy to relocate.

Since I use hand tools a lot and only make a lot of dust occasionally, the hose is connected to each machine as needed.

To keep it out of the way it is coiled up on a plastic flower pot and the attachments stored inside. Also the remote start is there.

The collector is wonderfully compact but to empty the drum you have to lift the 25 pound collector. Since it is connected to ductwork, I needed a way to lift it just enough and support it there while the drum is slid out and emptied. Just lift the lever and hook the chain in a different link.

Well thought out solutions. I especially like the lifting bar for the impeller unit.
