Try Dunlap wood products in Northern VA. For long rifle stocks, he gets some of the best maple on the east coast. http://dunlapwoodcrafts.com/

Look at the Bell Forest Products website, it was te place I bought all of my birdseye maple and it was always a good product, but I never tried their curly maple.

I've bought curly m from Bell Forest and been happy with it. But I'd call and talk to a human there about what you need. Not everything is on the website and you have a pretty specific need.

Spoke to them today. They said they normally don’t ship logs for turning. I told him I have purchased Koa from Hawaii and had a pallet shipped to me. After, I told him that, he seemed like maybe it was doable? We will see?
    Again thanks for the references.
