Rockler planes

All this discussion about catalogs, I just got a rockler catalogue, and see their new line of “bench dog” planes. Priced to be a lot less pricey than LV and LN. I suppose in the same class as to woodcrafts “wood river”. Maybe I’m wrong about the marketing.

Ive been considering some nice hand tools, Any thoughts?

These planes have been sold by a UK firm called Axminster tools under the "Rider" brand. I tried one (some time ago) and sent it back as the quality was poor and I found the handle uncomfortable. In my opinio a vintage Stanley is much better. If you look on YT there are some reviews of Rider planes there.
