    Repaired /refinished secretary

This was my clients mothers piece and she wanted it repaired if possible. There was some damage to the veneer on the main writing surface. Parts of the frames were missing and drawer guides falling off. I took care of those best I could and finished it all of with lacquer. Worked out well.
sorry, the photos rearranged themselves and it’s a bit awkward on a phone to correct but I’m sure you’ll figure it out.

Looks great! I have no doubt it looks better now than when it was new.

Mark, with your amazing carving skills it must have been hard to resist the temptation to put some real ball-and-claw feet on it.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the kind comments.
Stan. If you liked this I have a restoration that was just shy of being over the top. I’ll have to get some pics together and post them if you’re interested. It was really involved. Split wood, cracked pieces , missing /broken sections of carving. It was quite an undertaking. And very beautiful and out of the ordinary pieces when done.

Extremely excellent veneer replacement. I had to page through four or five times to find the specific panel. As other's have said ... as good as or better than new.
