I don't go to Home depot to rent tools they are way to expensive over a real tool rental place.

When my brother bought his first house the previous owner had painted it and done a good job, except... he left a good sized triangle on the end under the gable on one end above the patio roof. My brother ended up pulling down the bad plastic sheeting for the patio roof and replaced it with a tarp, then a wood roof. While the roof was gone he painted the triangle.
I guess my answer is move and let the new owner figure it out.
