Looking for recommendations: WB Paint for Steel/Iron

I’ve been spraying WB products from Target and really like the finish I get and love the ease of clean up. I’m restoring an old Bandsaw and would like to know if there is a similar durable water based paint I can spray with my HVLP or if I should stick with an enamel?

I have a Sherwin Williams close by as well as a Menards and of course ordering online is always an option.

I suspect you may be able to use the Target product over a metal appropriate primer, but it's not really designed for that kind of "duty cycle". For this particular job, I'd probably stick with something like Rustoleum out of a spray bomb for both the primer and the finish coats. And do it outside, of course...because of the fumes. But that's just my opinion...others may have alternative ideas.

A solvent borne such as Jim suggests is the way to go, at least for the primer. Waterborne products that inhibit rust are a bit specialised and therefore expensive and not the most user friendly. I check on how the technology is progressing from time to time (corrosion protection being my day job among other things) and it is still not viable. Cheers
Every construction obeys the laws of physics. Whether we like or understand the result is of no interest to the universe.
