    Altendorf WA6 owner feedback

I am very close on a decision to move forward with an Altendorf WA6 sliding table saw. I also looked at a Felder, but the price was pretty high for my garage shop. I wanted to get some feedback on this saw from any owners in the sawmill creek community. I am trying to get someone from Stilesmachinery.com to contact me about one. Feedback is appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ash

FWIW, I've had one person tell me they were unhappy with the saw. Said it was difficult to get adjusted, and didn't keep its adjustments. Typical of just about any entry level saw.

I'd look for something used. Plenty of short-stroke options out there for certainly less than a new WA6.

New looking SCM Si 300s with a Tiger Fence for just under $7k.

Might also inquire with Felder and SCM as to whether there are any promos on new machines around the upcoming IWF show..

Also, does anyone have any experience with the new Altendorf F25? Appears to be a good saw, but are they better than an equivalent Felder?
