Brought a new baby (bandsaw) home today!

This saw caught my eye on Craig’s list a couple days ago. It is a 12” Walker-Turner. When I saw it I just wanted it. Might be a project, don’t know yet. But it will be fun and a great replacement for my old Sears 12” bandsaw.

More importantly, it will keep good company with the 20” Davis&Wells that I bought a couple months ago...

Here are a couple of the seller’s pictures. To me it is well worth the $60 I paid for it...

    Enjoy!

Wow, great score. Those things never show up around here, unless they've been sitting in a pasture for 30 years, asking price $500.

I like that little fellar, you kinda stole it. That's one of those tools I would have bought because I liked it even if I didn't need it. Congrats!

If it runs, you got a screaming deal! If it tracks well and has good guides now you got a really screaming deal!

All 10" saws; Five Deltas from the early 30s to the sixties and an Atlas. I've since added another early Delta and a WT from the 40s to the assortment.

Some people collect stamps, some people apparently collect 10” vintage bandsaws.

The one I got runs and has the original blade guides.

I knew I wanted it, regardless of possible issues, for the price. It is still in my van as other things have a higher priority at the moment. It is just such a cute little saw!

I am really glad I got it. Don’t need it, but it called to me. Eventually I will have to thin the herd, as between the main house and the one next door (300’ away) that I am renovating, I have three craftsman 12” bandsaws, plus this W-T, which is the gem. Plus an 18” old grizzly, and several Shopsmith 11” bandsaws that I have never used, and the 20” D&W.

Who says woodworking tools are an addiction. Not me!

Too many tools for the space available...

John, if that is a photo of your living room, you have a very understanding wife.

Nah, just fully believe in "his" and "hers". Not everything has to be "ours". That's my TV room.
