    Seen at the local DQ....

    sitting in their restroom...

Fancy curved legs, with caster feet...the top drawers?
    IMG_5331 (640x480).jpg
    Are indeed drawers...
    IMG_5330 (640x480).jpg
Center drawer is curved inside and out...
    IMG_5328 (640x480).jpg
Even these had a bit of curve inside...
    IMG_5329 (640x480).jpg
Might need more than a single molding plane to do the fronts?
Top was a book-matched, two piece that was sitting on the moldings.
Anyone want to try to build one?

    Yard sale morning....turned down this..thing..

Sooo.....who is going to try and build a copy of that piece of furniture? I am busy with a small project, right now..and don't have enough lumber to start it....I CAN get measurements IF anyone wants them, though. Just 6 drawers.....

So...IF someone were to try to make that style of drawer front.....what cutters would do the profile...on a curved piece like that? The other, lower drawers would be the easy part....it is those skinny top three drawers. And, they were at one time dovetailed at the fronts.

I think that would have been done on a shaper. It could be done with hollows and rounds after taking the corner off with a bandsaw if you want to do it by hand.

Even @ $50, You mighta made $50 with a little hassle. I know someone who's done it several times.

I would guess hollows and rounds, but maybe a moulding plane after a bit of wasting out. As long as the curve is convex like that, it shouldn't be too hard with a couple of practice pieces.

First...one would NEED to have that $50 in their pocket....I had about 36 cents. No place to sit it....just leave it there.

May be a bit too wide for the scratch stock....
