    What happened to Invicta?

Love their shapers--what happened to them? Don't see anything on internet searches. It would be nice to know their history.

    Thanks,

Invicta came about because some German engineers decided they could build a quality machine for less than were currently making in Germany. Off to Brazil they went. They made solid machines, but some of the fit and finish stuff was a bit cheap.

Even sadder, I've seen some junky Chinese stuff re-badged as Invicta Máquinas at a home center in Rio. Looked slightly above Harbor Fright level quality.

They developed the RC-33 planer, sold by Delta, which morphed into the DC- 380, which is the grand dad of all the four post planers out there. Every time you see a "four poster," their legacy lives on

The Delta DJ-20 was theirs too as well as some other Delta machines.

Even sadder is the fact that a lot of that was bought by woodworkers like us.
