Visitor from Italy at the lathe

A young artist friend from northern Italy visited with us for most of July, in part to practice English pronunciation. One thing she wanted to do was try her hand at woodturning. I didn't get a picture but she made a nice ring/bracelet keeper from Dalmata and Purpleheart.

The next lesson will be in a couple of years when university exams are not pressing.

(BTW, the smock is a disposable paper jacket made for dental offices, with the sleeves cut short.)
