When I had my A, I ended up replacing the on/off switch and the speed control after some years, they wore out...

My remote switch quit working and it was a loose wire.

Often a blast of compressed air on the switch and potentiometer will do the trick.

If it ts the Delta S inverter, check the switch and speed potentiometer inputs on the inverter display. Verify that the stop and run LED indicator lights change state with the red pushbutton switch operation, foreword and reverse work with the switch and the F value display increases and decreases with the speed control. The VFD manual is available in pdf form from Delta Electronics and other sources on line.
