    spindle lock routers

    I have a vintage craftsman spindle lock router and it is still in good shape but I was looking for another router that is spindle lock but I have found there isn't many if any around,,,,to me this looks like a plus feature on a router,,can anyone tell me if they still make a router with a spindle lock,,thank you

    Several models of the Porter Cable routers have spindle locks. Easy way to find out is to look on the makers site and see if they mention having it.

    The smaller dewalt DWP611 router has a button spindle lock. The triton's have a lock that is automatically activated when in bit change position (plunged to full depth).

    My last year acquisitions both have spindle lock, Makita trim router set and Bosch GOF1600CE "heavy" router.

    I am surprised you found there isn't many... I was thinking it was very common for recent routers.
