    Oliver 4230 / 8 inch jointer

    I am looking for a new 8" jointer. the Oliver 4230 looks like a good tool. Does anyone know anything about this machine? Any information would help.

    On par with powermatic & Grizzly. Made in same factory. About 100 lbs heavier, due to the cast iron base. Not sure that makes the machine any more robust.

    I have had the 10" Oliver for a short while. Well built solid machine. Fit and finish are excellent and mine has an american made Baldor motor.
