    Excalibur EX 30 Scroll Saw?

Anyone own this saw? It is the green one from General Intl.
I just purchased an Excalibur EX30 scroll saw off of Craigslist sight unseen. I have been watching for one for quite a while. Minor problem, the saw is in NY and I live in Texas. The good news is I can fly for free and I get a 50% discount shipping through FedEx.
I am flying to NY to pick up, then ship the saw home. My plan is to take the saw off the base then pack the saw in a plastic HD tool trunk that I will buy at the local Home Depot. There is a FedEx shipping center also close to where I am purchasing the saw.
    QUESTION(s)
If I remove the table, can I get the saw in a 39” container?
What is the longest piece of the stand? I will be completely disassembling the stand and taking back with me on the airplane.
What size socket/wrench for the stand hardware?

    Thanks

I will check mine. I have an Excalibur, green and I think it's a 30". If it is I will get back with the measurements in a hour or two.

    John,

I am sorry. I have the 21" so I am of little help. The longest part of the stand is roughly 25".

These saws are now sold (at least in Canada) by Felder under the brand name "Excelsior" - supposed to be the same saws made in the same factory
