Hate to get rid of this plane because I really like the ergonomics but it's gotta go to fund a low angle jack plane. I bought it used myself so I cannot say how old it is but I believe it is an older one because the blades are both unmarked and have hollowed backs. On the newer Veritas planes I have seen the blades are marked and the backs are lapped flat rather than left hollow.

One blade is hollow-ground to a little under 20* and has a 25 or 30* secondary bevel, and the other blade has a 38* flat-ground primary bevel and a 40 or 45* secondary bevel.

The sole is scratched up from normal use (planing end grain), there are some scratches on the wings, and there is one more substantial scratch on the top of the knob. All of it is purely cosmetic and could be repaired without much trouble.

I'm pretty sure the tote and knob are bubinga...but...I've never seen bubinga before so I don't actually know with certainty. They definitely aren't stained maple, though.

I'd like to get $175 shipped for it.

Thanks for looking!
