Same drill and screws. It is just the thickness scale that changed to metric.

    All the best,

    Marshall -

If you could settle for the K4 (that's what I have although I put it in a jig), there might be several people in this thread who'd be willing to sell you their old K4!

FYI Eagle America has 10% off pocket hole jigs, code is POCKETHOLE valid through 6/7. No relation to them, just thought appropriate given the thread.

I bought the K5 a few years ago for many of the reasons already mentioned. And one of the main reasons was the vacuum connection in front. If I have a lot of pocket holes to drill I pull out my only corded drill and plug it into my Fein vacuum so it only comes on when the drill is running. Does a pretty fair job of collecting the swarf.

Ahhh. I forgot about the thickness markings.

    Thanks

Can you special order the K-5 from Lowes and still get your discount?

I will have to check in the store as the K5 doesn't even show in a search on Lowes' website

K5. I've used the K4 to build a kitchen's worth of cabinets. Bought the K5 for myself. The clamp up front is why. The wings are another big plus.

It would be nice if there was more clearance on the vac connection
