    Powermatic 87 bandsaw table removal

I am thinking about buying a powermatic 87 bandsaw. I would like to take off the table before moving it. How hard is that to do? I assume two to four bolts will get it off with no weird linkages to mess with.

Does the table tilt? I'm not familiar with that bandsaw but for other bandsaws I've had with a tilting table the table could be removed by removing the bolts holding the table to the trunion.

Yes the table tilts so it should be an easy job, but...

There are some manuals and parts list on Vintage Machinery website. You can glean some infomation about table removal from there as well as study the machine.

I removed & reinstalled the table on my Minimax16. It wasn't hard to do.

    Bill,

Be aware that the table may be quite heavy.

The table on my Davis & Wells 20” Bandsaw weighs 90 pounds.
