Autumn Splendor/Collaboration
This vase was made from Ash, and for the purpose of inclusion in an arts collaboration show for June at Oasis Fine Arts & Crafts Gallery.
I turned the vase as a palette for my collaborator, Janet Lee Wright from the Shenandoah Valley Watercolor Society. We agreed that Janet would paint leaves in fall colors that were indigenous to the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
This was our first time ever collaborating on anything, and there will be a showing on the first Friday with live music, refreshments and other artists who collaborated together. I should add that she is going to be adding an acrylic top coat before the show. The pics were taken by Janet Lee Wright.
