Neighbor had an oak tree go down. I've never really liked the yellow color of the oaks in our area so after turning I fumed it in ammonia overnight to brown it up a bit. 12" wingtip to wingtip.
I realize the foot is a little more prominent than some might like but I was trying something new- a ringed foot. It's not perfect but we're getting there.
Finished with Polymerized Tung Oil.
