Very nice looking Stewie. Gives me motivation to get around handling a few sawplates that I have lying around.

    D-8, 10ppi crosscut. 26" long, is a match for my 20" D-8, 10 ppi panel saw.

Is it my imagination, but isn't the Disston Institute calling 26" saws panel saws.
I thought panel saws were 20" saws.

It's hard to tell from photos; the camera often lies. It looks to me like the palm swelling in the back of the grip is higher on the new handle than on the original.
    • Is that true?
    • If true, did you do it on purpose?
    • If you did it on purpose, how come?
    • Does it work well?

Nice looking bit of work in any case.
