    Veritas twin screw barrel nuts

They use these to attach the rear jaw to the bench. Been trying to get these installed for an hour and ready just to use lag screw. Aggravating....had to vent somewhere

Good vent. I just built the rear jaw into the bench apron.

Well i just laid everything down and backed away for the evening. I'm on the road this week and will pick it up again next weekend. Up until this point it was pretty simple.

I've often wondered whether the barrel nut method was fussy and overkill. It seems to me that bolting to the bench using threaded inserts would be a good, strong solution.
