I had the old version of the PC dovetail jig and the new version for half blind dovetails looked like a better mouse trap. It was offered as a gift from LOML so I said Yes. Come to find out that narrow drawers will not reach back to the rear clamping bar to be stabilized. Unless you are planning on making drawers that are at least 5+ inches in width, it's problematic. The rear clamping bar either doesn't clamp the entire piece or not at all on very narrow drawers. The clamping bar can not be moved forward. Anyone else with one of these puppies that has figured out how to jury rig a fix? I have some ideas but if someone else has already tackled the problem, I'd appreciate their input. Porter Cable only suggested leaving the piece long for the first pass, but had no solution for the second side. BTW, so far, I do like the jig other than this unfortunate feature. Thanks for any input.
