    ANZAC Day 2018

"They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them"

I can't add anything to that today. RIP

A veteran is someone who at some point in their life wrote out a blank check to the nation for everything up to and including their life. Rest in peace ANZAZs.

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Fred, I have never read that before but what he wrote is as true today as it was then. Thanks for posting it. Cheers

I did not know about Anzac, but while I was a child, I had two uncles that saw Pearl Harbor. I was a preteen when they returned.

One was a sonarman in the Navy.

You're welcome Wayne. I thought it was a very moving poem. When I researched ANZAC Day 2018 there were several references to it. He dedicated it to the Mothers.

    Best regards,
    Fred
