    "Neptune's Amphora"

    Hello everyone here's my latest
    " Neptune's Amphora" It finished at 16 1/4" tall by 9" diameter the coloring is wood dye Curly Maple & Sapele

    Quite an imagination you have there Bruce. Looks like a lot of work and planning went into this.

    Agree with Gary. When my eye accepts something with such disparate parts as fine art ,I try to find the uniting element.
    In this case I think it is the grain figure and piercings emulating the sea horse segments. Love the provision for instant refill, Neptune does not like to wait for more!

    Thank you very much Gary & Mel I'm being asked on all my threads if I carved the Seahorses ....Yes I drew then carved them from Curly Maple here's a few photos of the carving process.
