    A Stepback Cupboard in Pine

Well, my Daughter took a look at the one I made out of Ash....and wanted a version for her own...No Door in the lower unit, just a couple shelves for baskets to sit on. Which made the base unit a bit taller. So...here we go..

The Ash one is 6' 1" tall, this pine one is 6'5" tall. Need to buy two more baskets..

Main drawer also gets a couple baskets.
    IMG_3748 (640x480).jpgKnobs are white birch
Brass Hook & Eye as a latch. Open the door to reveal a few bookshelves..

That skinny drawer under the bookcase also hides ( besides the bills) a pair of cleats to both attach the case, and act as drawer guides.

    Both drawers use through dovetails.
Finish ( at the moment..) is a coat of Golden Oak Stain, with three coats of Amber shellac. IF Daughter wants it "shiney" I can add a couple coats of Poly Gloss. Around all the openings, there is a bead work..

Done with a Stanley #45 plane.
Hope the Daughter likes this tall cupboard...

Looks lovely and it's a very practical design. Nice!

Very nice piece! If she doesn't like it send it my way!
