Great price on Paring Chisels at Lee Valley

A little heads up for my fellow Canadian neanderthals - Lee Valley has a pretty good price on the Narex Paring Chisels right now in-store. I purchased the largest size today, and even though I expect it to require a bit of work to flatten the back (and will replace the terribly ugly handle), $33 CDN for a chisel that size is pretty good. While I was in the store I also picked up a Sigma Power Select II. Excited to try it out.

I too have a set of Narex Paring Chisels that I bought a few years ago. They have served me well and
my dove tails are the better for it. I wish you luck and many happy shavings !

Sounds like a fine paring chisel. Unfortunately - it seems like most makers are getting out of these.. Very few companies even make them anymore...

I am also very curious about that Sigma Power II stone and how it will do....
