    Yes, I am an idiot.

The morning started out great. Rain is gone, sun is shining, birds chirping, and I sat down at the computer.

I was holding my bowl of frosted mini wheats in my right hand, which is in a cast up to the elbow, and took a spoonfull with my left hand, when suddenly xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

If you have a desktop computer with a detached keyboard, then you may only be out $20 or so for a new keyboard. If it is a laptop, then it gets a bit more difficult.

With mine, it's typically a slow accumulation of Honey BBQ sauce spatters and drippings when the bones get pulled apart.... that does them in.

Damp cloth is at the ready for right handed Mouse action.

Chin drippings are not a hazard as they land on the front of the T shirt.

    Usually, anyway.

I've actually a few times drenched them in warm running water, shake out, repeat, let dry a week or two, and work fine again.

Desktop of course, not so much Laptop.

Seriously.. try this instead of just throwing it away..., and you will probably have a future backup.

Desktop with an older keyboard. Still works so far. Must be a tough one.

I have had the cast since mid January, learning to type with one hand. Hopefully it comes off tomorrow.

Spritz on a little fish oil and let your cat clean it.

7-8 years ago I had shoulder surgery. I was quite disappointed that my left hand had spent 50+ years dangling around and learning absolutely nothing. It was also completely uncooperative about wanting to learn how to do stuff.
