Performax Tracker Kit

I just replaced the conveyor belt in my Performax 16/32 for the first time. The instructions in the manual don't mention the two porcelain trackers that were installed. There's a single add-on insert sheet at the back of the manual that describes them. One dropped on the floor and broke when I slid the old conveyor belt off. They're on the bottom of the conveyor assembly and out of sight. The new conveyor seems to track fine without the trackers after a few test runs. Does anyone think these trackers make a difference in tracking?

The trackers were an improvement. The machines did not have them originally but people complained about tracking issues. They always seem to break because they are forgotten. If the machine tracks, don't worry about it. Usually only one side needed it anyway. Dave
