    220v 50 Hz Chinese lasers

    1. Last year when talking to a Chinese laser representative, he clearly stated that a Chinese laser could use either a 110v or 220v 60 Hz (US) power source without any problems. The basis for his answer was that the laser has a power supply system that can be switched to select either 110v or 220v 60 Hz input power, then convert and supply the correct power (50 Hz, 60 Hz, AC, DC, 9v, 24v, etc.) to the various components throughout the machine.

Since most Chinese lasers seem to be clones of each other as most "manufacturers" are actually assemblers, is this type of power management system common to most Chinese lasers?

    Thank you

Some of the power supplies can be switched either way, but why not just order it set up for standard 120 volts 60 cycle if your using in the US? Most of the 100 watt or so units do not draw that much current to warrant being on 220/240 V

I ordered my Triumph in 220 volt, and I just wired up a 220 receptacle and it works just fine.
