12 inch Harvey W. Peace #45 backsaw Amherst, VA

I picked up this saw awhile back, but I have never really used it. I keep saying I’m going to get back into hand tool, but it just isn’t happening. It is too nice of a saw to just hang on the wall. From the research I’ve done it looks like a 12 inch Harvey W. Peace #45 backsaw. The medallion has the Arm & Hammer logo and says Harvey W. Peace Brooklyn N.Y. Pat'd Dec. 21, 1869. The back is stamped “Spring Steel Warranted” and “Harvey W. Peace Brooklyn N.Y.”
It is overall good condition and I have made no attempt to clean it up. The handle has one chip and some white paint as shown in the pictures. Looks like someone who didn’t know how to sharpen practiced on this saw. The teeth are different shapes and sizes. It will take some work to get it back in shape. Despite how the teeth look, it still cuts OK.

Looks like I have the price too high on this one. If anyone is interested, send me a message with an offer. The worst I can say is no.
