I picked up a Powermatic sliding tablesaw that has a 7.5 hp motor. I need it to be single phase and was thinking about a static phase converter. Any thoughts if it would have enough power to swing a 16" blade?

It will, it will be about 5hp with a static.
I wasn't sure if I should find a single phase 5 hp or just do the static phase converter. I don't know why, but I'm just not crazy about them.
The 3 phase motor has less to go wrong with it than a 3 phase. But, of course a static phase converter has parts that can go wrong. Kind of a toss up, I’d probably go with the SPC as it’s cheaper.
I ordered the static phase converter, see how it goes.
