    Oscillating Mortise chisels supplier ?

    Hello ..

I picked up a used Centauro BVM Oscillating mortiser .. I would like to order some smaller chisels than came with it .. and wondered if anyone in the USA stocked them.

So far I've found Scott and Seargent in England and Centauro in Italy ..

I don’t think anyone in North America makes them anymore. Mark Hennebury has used Maka chisels and may have some to fit Centauro.
    this mfg in France http://www.lussault.fr/woodworking-tools/index.php

Here is the Italian mfg Rick. Their prices seem reasonable but I have no exprerence ordering from them.

Thanks again Joe. I messaged Omer as well ..

This is an impressive machine. Its about 1000 lbs.. It cuts a much cleaner mortise than my hollow chisel, but its limited by chisel size. The power and speed is impressive.

The clean mortise is impressive, especially for through mortise work. The machine is driven by chisel design and size and that is where it can be a little frustrating depending on the work you are doing. I find I use my Wadkin HC a lot for low volume work just because the setup is easy and quick.

Can you post some pictures Rick? I think that machine is the overhead cutter type? Is it manual or auto feed? My Maka is auto feed. Sometimes that is good, sometimes not.
