    Oak Piece

Smallest blank from a core several years ago. I usually just throw them away but for some reason kept this one. Was looking for something to do after the normal Sunday afternoon siesta so this little piece stood out to do before dinner. 7 1/2" x 2". If I had it to do over again, I would delete the texture and the burned line and just left the rim band natural.

Nice bowl. I agree on leaving off the texture, it looks lost among the wood grain. I do like the burn line, though.

The texture on the sides would be better if a burn line ran above and below to help delineate the zone.

Don't take what I stated the wrong way; you have a very appealing form, and great piece of wood. Well done.

Added elements do not always produce the sum we are looking for. Nice bowl.
