    wall hanger for large bowl

Any suggestions for how to make a wall hanger for large bowls (18-21"). I would prefer not to buy one but want it to look nice and not cover up the rim. I will need about 3 hangers.

    thanks,
    Dave

How about metal strips (1"wide x 1/8"thick?) that are bent to the bowl shape and hook over the rim. Depending on your decor, brass or black iron might look good.

Search for plate display hangers, and you can get some ideas.

I’ve seen a simple copper wire brought around a foot on a bowl, then wrapped around a small dowell; turn the dowel to tighten the wire loop snug to the foot, withdraw the dowl and you’ve got a hanger for a single nail (or whatever) for hanging on the wall. Easily reversed/removed, yet secure hold. Always wanted to give it atry - let me know if it works out...
