Each side was 5 passes w crosshatch at spd 500 pwr 100 and frq 28 then followed up by 1 annealing pass 3000 30 65 on the 30w. That was the raw pistol in that pic. These are after sand blasting and cerakote

This is a 5.5 foot stainless steel scale that I laser engraved using Laserbond. I had to split up my art and engrave most of the copy, then move it to engrave the rest as it is too big for my table. I used the spray can version to get an even coat. I was afraid to try the foam brush on such a large piece. I have never been able to achieve a black mark that I am happy with and I have tried all of the different brands and done power grids as best I could. My machine only engraves from black artwork, so assigning a power to a specific color is not an option for me. Spraying with a satin clear coat now should help to make the mark appear a little darker. Overall I'm happy with it.

    Patrick,

The scale picture intrigued me, I first thought it was a trick, but after reading your text I was quite impressed how well this turned out. I zoomed in and was trying to find out where you moved the scale to mark the second half, but could not find it. You have figured out a way to perfectly align it. I was thinking what use this scale could be and thought maybe to measure height, then found a small mistake, the numbers are shifted, "1" should be where "2" is, the scale is 5 feet tall. Hope you figure out a easy fix.
